Notes

1. At the request of the consumer for group steels, A, an elongation test is carried out on samples of ten times the length. In this case the norms of relative elongation, indicated in Table. 3, decrease by 3% (abs).

2. The mechanical properties of steels of grades 14ХГС and 18Г2 of all thicknesses, grade 09Г2 with a thickness of 21−32 mm and grade 10ХСНД of thickness more than 15 mm refer to steel in the heat-treated state.

3. Steel alloys, which are tested for impact strength at minus 70 ° C, are supplied in a normalized or improved state. It is allowed to carry out normalization or other kind of heat treatment and in other cases for Group A steel.

4. The impact strength of grades 09G2 and 15KSND of 5−10 mm thickness at minus 40 ° C must be not less than 4 kgf / cm2.

5. Shaped grades 09Г2, 09Г2С, 10ХСНД and 14Г2 with a thickness of 11 mm and less are allowed to be delivered without thermal treatment, and the impact strength at minus 70 ° C must be at least 3 kgf / cm2. Mark 17GS, supplied in the heat-treated state at a thickness of rolled 11 — 20 mm, should have an impact strength at a temperature of minus 40 ° C of at least 4 kgf / cm2. The impact strength of steel is determined on the customer’s request under the following conditions:

  1. a) normal temperature (+20 ° C) and one negative temperature;
  2. b) normal temperature (+20 ° C) and after mechanical aging;
  3. c) one minus temperature and after mechanical aging;
  4. d) one of these temperatures (+20, -40 and -70 ° C) or after mechanical aging.

The minimum value of impact strength at a temperature of +20 ° C after mechanical aging should be at least 3 kgf / cm2.
