General characteristics
Alloy 38NKD refers to the precision alloys group with the given thermal coefficient of linear expansion (ТКЛРх106 in the temperature range -60 +400°C not higher than the 7.8[1/C°]). Used for vacuum seals with glass marks P-6 and С72−4.
Precision alloys are mainly produced on the basis of chromium, Nickel, copper, niobium, cobalt. They belong to the high-alloyed alloys with rare physical characteristics: magnetic, elastic, thermal, electrical. These unique qualities are due to the precision of the chemical. composition, thoroughness manufacturing and processing, absence of impurities. This group of alloys used in precision machine tools, in the production of various precision electronic devices, in innovative technologies.
