Nitrogen 60® - alloy 218 pipe

Nitrogen 60® - alloy 218 pipe

AvekGlob Company sells Nitronic 60® stainless steel tubes at an affordable price (other names are Alloy 218, N-60). The supplier ensures the timely delivery of products to any address specified by the consumer.

Composition and application

Nitronic 60® is known for its excellent abrasion resistance even at elevated temperatures. Additions of silicon and manganese to the main composition of this steel hinder the processes of abrasion and abrasion, so Nitronic 60® (Alloy 218) has been successfully used for the manufacture of various fasteners and pins that require strength and resistance to wear.

The alloy retains strength values up to 980 ° C, and has oxidation resistance, which is similar to that of 309 stainless steel.

Nitronic 60 is austenitic stainless steel. Additions of silicon and manganese give this alloy structural resistance against wear, abrasion and fretting, even in the annealed state. Higher strengths and hardness are achieved by strengthening the Nitronic 60® during cold plastic deformation.

Additives of chromium and nickel give the alloy corrosion resistance, comparable to stainless steels of grades 304 and 316, while the yield strength of steel grade Nitronic 60® (Alloy 218) is approximately twice as high. High mechanical strength, even in the annealed state, allows the use of pipes with reduced wall thickness without compromising durability.

The chemical composition of the material, which meets the technical requirements of the UNS S21800 standard, is presented in the table (iron — the rest):

Percentage Ni Cr Mn Si N Mo C
-minimal 9.00 am 18.00 9.00 am 4.5 0.18 0.75 0.10
-maximum 8.00 16.00 7.00 3.5 0.08

Buy at economical prices, a variety of pipes made of stainless alloy Nitronic 60® (Alloy 218, N-60), offers the company AvekGlob. The Supplier organizes the operational shipment of products to any point. installed by the client.

Technological features of Nitronic 60® (Alloy 218, N-60): the temperature range of forging is 1150… 1260ºC. Forging should not be performed below 925ºC, and to achieve maximum corrosion resistance, forgings should be annealed. When machining it is recommended to use a carbide tool. The alloy Nitronic 60® (Alloy 218, N-60) is satisfactorily welded by the methods of electric welding. Gas welding is not recommended because of the risk of carburizing the metal in the weld zone. Annealing is recommended to restore the resistance to intergranular corrosion.

Company Avecglob proposes to purchase at affordable prices the manufacturer of stainless steel pipes Nitronic 60® (Alloy 218, N-60). The supplier is guaranteed to immediately send the hire to any point agreed by the customer.
