Composition and application
This alloy belongs to the group of iron-nickel-cobalt alloys with a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The alloy is also widely used in power and microwave tubes, transistors and diodes. In most Covar® integrated circuits, (1.3981) is used as a flat packing material and dual-channel packages.
