General characteristics
Lightweight, durable titanium alloys has opened a new structural horizons in modern production. Brand Titan are classified by the configuration of the crystal lattice in the form of a cube (β-state), in the form of a hexahedron (α-state) and a mixed state (α+β). Brand VT14 refers to the group α+β alloys, according to OST 90013−81, GOST 19807−74 legoretta aluminum 3,5−6,3%, molybdenum 2,5−3,8%, V 0.9 and 1.9%. VT14 developed в1960 G. Vilom, became the first heat-treatable alloy developed by the industry. Effective aging is about 30%. Option cast alloy — ВТ14Л.
