Copper-Nickel alloys Din, En

AvekGlob Company sells a wide range of copper-nickel alloys at affordable prices from the manufacturer, which are produced according to the European standards DIN EN. The supplier provides guaranteed delivery of the rolled metal to any address specified by the customer.

general information

Cu-Ni alloys are alloys of copper (the main metal with the largest individual content) and nickel with or without other elements, among which zinc (not more than 1%) is most common.

Forged and cast copper-nickel alloys are distinguished. According to European standards, alloys of the «copper-nickel-silicon» system from 1.0 to 4.5% Ni and from 0.2 to 0.6% Be refer to low-alloyed copper alloys. In addition to 8.5−45% Ni, most produced alloys usually contain manganese, iron and tin to improve specific properties,

and cast alloys also have additions of niobium and silicon.

For these alloys in England, the term «euro nickel» is used, which refers to all copper-nickel alloys containing approximately 80% Cu and 20% Ni. In Germany, Cu-Ni alloys usually involve materials containing less than 50% Ni.

The role of other alloying elements:

Manganese is added to the melt for deoxidation.

Iron dissolved in a solid solution increases the corrosion resistance of Cu-Ni alloys;

Tin as an additional element increases the tensile strength,

and wear resistance;

Silicon improves the casting properties of alloys;

Niobium increases tensile strength and improves weldability;

Chromium increases strength, and has a beneficial effect on the resistance to erosion corrosion in seawater.

Copper-nickel alloys produced by Western European standards DIN EN are offered at economically advantageous prices, AvecGlob offers. The supplier guarantees the operative sending of the hire to any point set by the client.
