The 40KhNM grade alloy (EI 995) belongs to the group of precision alloys based on cobalt, chromium, nickel and molybdenum, which differ in the specified parameters of their elastic characteristics. From the alloy, the springs of watch mechanisms, spiral cylindrical springs, operating temperature of which does not exceed 400 ° C are produced. The alloy is also used for making cores of electrical measuring instruments and surgical instruments.
