general characteristics
The alloy 80NM according to GOST-19693−74 is magnetically soft, has no more than 4 kA / m coercive force by induction. The precision mark of 80MM has a low coercive force with the induction of saturation of 0.65−0.75 T in weak fields and a very high magnetic permeability. At the end of heat treatment with gradual cooling starting from + 600 ° C, there is a slight change in the characteristics in the climatic temperature range. Magnetically soft materials have a high value of magnetic initial permeability, they can be magnetized to saturation and in weak fields. In addition to iron, they include cobalt, nickel, and molybdenum. The class of magnetically soft materials also includes especially pure ferromagnetic iron, low-carbon electrotechnical steels (undoped, siliceous), precision low-coercivity alloys with iron-nickel, iron base, ferrimagnetic and ferromagnetic powder, composite. Such alloys are melted in metallurgical special furnaces to obtain the required shapes, followed by forging or rolling ingots. Magnetic soft alloys are widely used in the production of transformer cores, in microphones, memory components for computers, magnetic circuits that are designed for operation in seawater, parts for electric machines, magnetic antennas.
