Dural of D1 brand (the closest foreign analogues produced according to US standards are the alloys AA2017 and A92017) is an aluminum-copper alloy, additionally alloyed with iron, zinc and titanium. The alloy is characterized by low cost, low density, well suited to plastic deformation operations. Dural D1 (AA2017, A92017) is non-magnetic, does not spark during use, has good electrical and thermal conductivity, and chemical / corrosion resistance in the air atmosphere, which can be further increased by anodizing. Anodizing also produces additional decorative finishing of products from this alloy, as a result of which it is poured into the light in various color shades.

Duralumin deformable alloy D1 (AA2017 and A92017) is used in construction, marine and aircraft industries because of its ease of manufacture, non-toxicity, mechanical strength and resistance to aggressive media found in industry (including chlorine-containing liquids and salts, for example, seawater).
