50Х14МФ - эи128 wire, round
Composition
Stainless steel 50Х14МФ are manufactured in accordance with GOST Р50328 1−92 and international standard MSO 7153/1−88. The alloy composition contains: chrome 14−15%, silicon and manganese of 0.6%, carbon — 0,48−0,55%, molybdenum — 0,45−0,8%, vanadium 0.1% to 0.15%, sulfur, phosphorus in thousandths of a percent. The base is iron.

General characteristics
This steel belongs to the class of martensitic alloys. It is smelted in open electric arc and induction furnaces or vacuum induction furnaces with subsequent vacuum arc remelting. Steel after quenching hardened as the result of the martensitic transformation, the maximum hardness is achieved at 1050 °C. the Increase of quenching temperature increases the proportion of residual austenite. The structure of granular perlite gives the annealing, after quenching the hardness is 197−207 N. V. At t° 900 — 1100 °C this steel is easy to hot deformation. The blanks produced with the help of rolling a varietal — drawing. At fast cooling, the formation of cracks.
The corrosion rate
— in moist ammonia and hydrogen sulfide atmosphere up to 0.005 mm/year;
in the solution containing hydrogen sulphide at saturation 2.5 g/l, less 0,0135 mm/year;
— in an aqueous solution of ammonia at t° 20 °C to 0.006 mm/year; at a temperature of 90 °C — to 0,097 mm/year;
— in a mixture of aliphatic hydrocarbons at a temperature of 20−90°C to 0,003 mm/year;

This alloy is used in the medical industry (for the production of cutting tools, for example, a removable surgical blade, all-metal scalpels); in the food industry (knives), etc. Products made from this steel meet the highest requirements of corrosion resistance and can withstand repeated thermal processing is necessary for medical instruments. You can process them in the washing machines, they do not lose their properties in chlorinated water.
