Standards governing production
GOST 14959−89 is the main domestic standard, according to the technical requirements of which the production of the steels under consideration is conducted. It specifies the features of the chemical composition of steels, the complex of their physico-mechanical properties and the range of rolled products. In particular, all spring-spring steels differ with an increased percentage of carbon (from 0.5 to 0.84%), silicon (1.5… 2.0%) and manganese. Heat treatment
