General Provisions

This standard covers welded, cold-drawn and annealed pipes made of nickel-chromium-iron alloys according to UNS N06600, N06603, N06025 and N06045, which are designed for heat-resistant applications under normal corrosion conditions. This specification regulates the outer diameter and nominal pipe wall thickness in accordance with the ASTM and ANSI documents specified in this document.

It is allowed to manufacture pipes of other cross sections, if other parameters meet the technical requirements of ASTM B517. The pipe must be made of flat products with subsequent automatic welding without the addition of fillers and fluxes. After welding and before the final heat treatment, the material should have room temperature, both in the weld metal and in the base metal (or only in the weld seam). On the surface of the pipe there should be no anti-corrosion grease. When annealing is used in low-oxidation furnaces, surface treatment is not carried out. The material should correspond to the specified percentage composition with respect to nickel, chromium, iron, manganese, carbon, copper, silicon, sulfur, aluminum, titanium, phosphorus, zirconium, yttrium and cerium. The material must meet the requirements of the specified mechanical properties in terms of tensile strength, yield strength and relative elongation. The pipe must be subjected to a flattening test, non-destructive testing and a complex bend test.
