Astm-B-865, Nickel K-500, N05500 Nickel Monel K-500

Are you interested in the ASTM B865 standard concerning all kinds of initial metal profiles made from K-500 Monel alloy under UNS N05500, from the supplier company AvecGlob? Here you will find interesting information on this topic.

General Provisions

This standard applies to all types of rolled products from the nickel alloy K-500 Monel, which is manufactured to specification UNS N05500. This specification regulates the profiles of the cross-section of blanks from this alloy in the form of bars of round, square, squares, rectangular cross-section, and also hexagon. The ASTM B865 standard also includes requirements for blanks that are manufactured either by hot or cold deformation, as well as wire obtained by cold rolling or drawing. The specification contains information on the required tensile strength, tensile yield stress under tension and the relative elongation of the material.

Characteristics and scope of the alloy

K-500 is a copper-nickel alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, with increased strength and hardness. K-500 alloy is commonly used in the marine, chemical, medical and paper industries for products such as critical shafts of pumps, tools for oil wells, medical tools, springs, ship shafts.

Security

This standard does not purport to address all of the security concerns (if any) associated with its use. The ASTM B865 user is responsible for establishing good practices in occupational safety and health and determining the applicability of regulatory restrictions before use.
