Application area

This standard applies to plates, hot-rolled and cold-rolled corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant and heat-resistant steel.

Classification

Steel is divided:
— on the state of the material and the quality of the surface in groups:

It is allowed to produce thick steel with a rolling accuracy higher than that specified in the order.

Assortment

Hot-rolled thick-gauge steel is produced in thickness from 4 to 50 mm, cold rolled — from 4 to 5 mm.
The shape, dimensions and limiting deviations in the dimensions of thick plates shall comply with the requirements: — for hot-rolled steel GOST 19903, for cold-rolled steel — GOST 19904. Hot rolled sheets with a thickness of more than 20 mm with a trimmed edge shall be manufactured by the manufacturer’s agreement with the consumer.
Hot rolled sheets of increased accuracy of rolling A are manufactured at the request of the consumer.

At the customer’s request, hot-rolled sheets of 4−5 mm thickness are manufactured with a particularly high flatness (PO), 6 mm thick or more — with increased (PV) and improved (PU) flatness. According to the manufacturer’s agreement with the consumer sheets with a thickness of more than 20 mm are manufactured without straightening. In this case, the deviation from flatness should not exceed 30 mm per 1 m of length.

For sheets in a heat-treated condition without etching, the deviation from flatness is not normalized.

Steel plates are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for process regulations approved in accordance with the established procedure.
The chemical composition of steel of all grades must comply with the requirements of GOST 5632, except for steel grade 15X5M, the chemical composition of which must meet the requirements of GOST 20072.
