Application area

This standard applies to annealed molybdenum bands, which are intended for the manufacture of parts of electrovacuum devices by the method of deep drawing.

At the customer’s request, molybdenum strips 0.1 mm thick are manufactured with a plus tolerance in thickness, while maintaining the tolerance margin.
At the consumer’s request, the strips must be a dimensional and a multiple of the measured length.

Technical requirements

The strips must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in accordance with the established procedure.

For the production of molybdenum bands, powder billets of molybdenum grade MCH are used, the chemical composition of which must meet the requirements indicated in the table:

  • An increase in the mass proportions of impurities of aluminum, iron, calcium, and magnesium is possible with the preservation of the sums of the mass fractions of aluminum + iron, calcium + magnesium;
  • The oxygen norm is determined at each lot and is indicated in the quality document.

Quality indicators

  • The strips should be rolled in two mutually perpendicular directions;
  • The strips are manufactured thermally treated;
  • On the surface of the strips rolling strips, bundles, scale residues (oxides) are not allowed. Necks, roll prints are allowed, within the tolerance limits for thickness, in an amount not exceeding 5 pcs. for 150 mm of length and scratches, within the allowed thickness deviations, as well as general waviness for strips 0.3 mm thick, disappearing when folded into a roll with a diameter of 50−60 mm, waviness in different directions for strips of thickness (0.1−0.0 mm), 2) mm, disappearing when folded into a roll with a diameter of 50−60 mm;
  • The surface roughness of the strips according to GOST 2789 should not be more than 1.25 microns;
  • The edges of the bands should be cut off. Ragged edges are not allowed.
