Application area
GOST 15835−2013 applies to round, square, hexagonal drawn rods and round pressed bars of beryllium bronze, used in instrument engineering and machine building.
The standard establishes the assortment, technical requirements, acceptance rules, control and testing methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of rods.

Technical requirements
The bars are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for the manufacturer’s technological documentation approved in accordance with the established procedure.
The bars are made of BrB2 bronze with a chemical composition according to GOST 18175.
The surface of the bars should be free from contamination, making it difficult to visually inspect, without cracks and delaminations. On the surface are allowed individual foils, dents, shells, risks, scuffs and other defects, as well as ringing, traces of dressing, if they do not remove the bars during the control sweep for the maximum deviations in diameter. Traces of technological greasing, as well as the color of tarnishing and reddening of the surface after annealing and etching, are allowed.
In the bars are not allowed internal defects in the form of shells, non-metallic inclusions and press-weights.
