Sandblasting of metal

Sandblasting of metal

Are you interested in the characteristics of sandblasting of metals, steels and alloys from the supplier company AvecGlob? Here you will find interesting information on this topic /

The essence of technology

Sandblasting (or, more precisely, abrasive blasting) treatment is a process in which a medium is used to smooth or grind an initially rough surface. Abrasive blasting (sandblasting) allows, in particular, to easily and simply clean steel surfaces from scale and rust. This process can also be used to prepare surfaces that require repainting.

When sandblasting, abrasive material is sent to the surface at high speed to make it smooth or to remove stuck particles. To push sand and get a shock jet, a lot of pressure is used, which determines how fast the process will be performed and the quality of the final results.

The main varieties of sand blasting

They are determined by the type of material used:

Silicate sand or silicon dioxide. Silicate sandblasting was a widely used method of removing impurities from surfaces, since the particles are uniform, and with sharp edges;

Sandblasting treatment with soda uses baking soda as a substance. It is used as an abrasive to remove rust without causing damage to the metal. The process is used for thin-sheet products;

Steel / cast iron. Used as an abrasive when removing paint and rust from the steel surface.

Glass beads / balls. Used for finishing interior surfaces of household equipment.

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers at affordable prices from the manufacturer various metals and alloys successfully subjected to various sandblasting operations, in the quantity and assortment required by the customer. The supplier guarantees the timely delivery of products to any address specified by the consumer

Characteristics of consumables

There are different types of materials intended for abrasive blasting: silicon dioxide, soda, steel, cast iron, steel bristles, glass beads and much more.

All these different methods of abrasive blasting usually use a certain type of grain to achieve the desired results, therefore, it is necessary to determine the correct technique of use. For example, to remove the old paint from the car, with its subsequent repainting, use the method of abrasive blasting with glass balls. This is due to the fact that they delicately remove the surface paint without damaging the vehicle.

In industrial production, it is advisable to use quartz sand or a metal shot, but the final surface needs further grinding. Such materials are also used when there is a need for surface hardening (hardening) of the product.

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers to purchase various metals and alloys subjected to sandblasting technologies, in any quantity and range of sizes. Products can be bought at a price formed on the basis of European and world standards of production. Implementation is possible in bulk and retail, for regular customers, a flexible system of discounts operates.
