Astm B932. Standard specifications for plates, sheets, strips of low-carbon nickel, chromium, molybdenum and gadolinium.
Are you interested in the ASTM B932 standard and the specification for plates, sheets and strips that are made of precision alloys from the supplier company AvecGlob? Here you will find interesting information on this topic /
General Provisions
This specification refers to plates, sheets and strip, which are made of low-carbon alloys including nickel, chromium, molybdenum and gadolinium (UNS N06464). These alloys are used in adsorption technologies, as well as structural and corrosive use of equipment intended for the disposal of nuclear waste. The current use of alloys of this group is limited.
Types of rolled metal
In accordance with this specification, the following products are considered:
Sheet and strip hot or cold rolled, annealed metal, with surface cleaning from scale, if the workpieces are not annealed in the usual atmosphere, with subsequent straightening and polishing;
Rolling in the form of plates, cold and hot rolling, with annealing of semi-finished products and subsequent removal of scale.
Security conditions
This standard does not purport to address all of the security concerns, if any, associated with its use. The user of this standard is responsible for acquaintance with all hazards, including those specified in the relevant Material Safety Data Sheet for this product or material. The consumer also establishes good safety and health practices, and determines the applicability of regulatory restrictions prior to the use of materials.
Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers at a reasonable price from the manufacturer a diverse range of metal products — sheets, plates, strips, manufactured using the standards of ASTM B932. The supplier guarantees the timely delivery of products to any address specified by the consumer.
Additional Documentation
Standard ASTM B932 typically requires the B906 standard, which is a specification for general requirements for sheet metal products made from nickel-base alloys using sheet metal manufacturing processes. Also necessary:
Materials on test methods E112 for determining the average grain size;
E140 — hardness conversion tables for metals, which shows the relationship between the Brinell hardness and Vickers and Rockwell hardness, the surface hardness values, the types of measuring equipment used (the Knoop hardness scleroscope).
The current document, which specifies the composition and properties of precision alloys of domestic production, is GOST 10994−74 «Precision alloys. Stamps. «This standard applies to precision deformable alloys and establishes the requirements for the chemical composition of such alloys.
Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers to purchase a range of plates, plates and strips manufactured in accordance with the requirements of ASTM B932. Products can be bought at a price formed on the basis of European and world standards of production. Implementation is possible in bulk and retail, for regular customers, a flexible system of discounts operates.
