Screw-cutting lathe

Screw-cutting lathe

Do you want to buy a lathe for the machining of rolled metal, steels and alloys from the supplier AvecGlob? Here you will find interesting information on this topic /

Operating principle

On the lathe-cutting machines, in addition to turning, they also cut various types of threads and other periodically repeating profiles. As a result of these operations, the excess material is removed from the surface of the workpiece, which rotates relative to the cutting tool.

The rotating horizontal spindle to which the tool chuck with the workpiece is attached, usually has an adjustable drive, so that the speed of rotation can be changed. This is achieved by the presence of a multistage gearbox. The cutting tool is fixed in the toolholder and controlled by a turner. The tool is moved by guides that have the possibility of perpendicular and parallel motion. Screw-cutting lathes are equipped with a die head, the movement of which is synchronized with the movement of the cutter carriage.

Urgency of application

Screw-cutting lathes are used in mechanical shops and branches of machine-building enterprises, as well as in construction and everyday life. Their use for threading is usually limited to the conditions of small-scale and single-shot production, as well as the need to obtain a thread of particularly high accuracy.

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers at affordable prices from the manufacturer various models and sizes of lathes, designed to produce a variety of openings of circular cross-section. The supplier guarantees the timely delivery of products to any address specified by the consumer.

Features of threading on screw-cutting lathes

Before starting to cut various types of threads on the machine, the operator must be fully familiar with the various types and shapes of threads. External or internal threads can be cut on a lathe with a special cutting tool. It is required to establish a certain relationship between the working spindle speed and the rotary thread speed to control the linear movement of the tool.

Most modern screw-cutting lathes are equipped with a high-speed gearbox in which the various ratios of the spindle speed and the threading tool can easily be obtained by simply switching the lever. To cut threads on the machine, the spindle rod is connected to the die head through the gears in such a way as to obtain a positive feed of the carriage, and the drive screw is driven by a predetermined speed relative to the spindle speed.

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers to purchase different sizes of screw-cutting lathes of domestic and foreign production. Products can be bought at a price formed on the basis of European and world standards of production. Implementation is possible in bulk and retail, for regular customers, a flexible system of discounts operates.
