Application area

The technical specifications under consideration apply to metallic molybdenum in the form of piles, plates, pellets and bars of the grades MSh-B, MSh-1 and MSh-2.

Technical requirements

The brands and sizes of the molybdenum blocks should correspond to the data given in the table:

Make Application area Section side, mm Length, mm
denomination before. off denomination before. off
MSh-B for the manufacture of rolled products 15 ± 2 500 ± 100
MSh-1 also 15 ± 2 400 ± 100
MSh-2 for alloying steel 15 ± 2 400 -

D supplies the delivery of 75% of the batch of MSH-2 headers without any size limitations.

Plates, rods and pellets are supplied with a chemical composition corresponding to the grade MS-2. Sizes are not specified.

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers at reasonable prices from the manufacturer molybdenum for metallurgical purposes, which meets the technical requirements of TU 48−19−73−86. The supplier guarantees the timely delivery of products to any address specified by the consumer.

Chemist

The chemical composition of metallic molybdenum must meet the requirements specified in the table

Component name Norm for stamps
MSh-B MSh-1 MSh-2
Mass fraction of molybdenum,%, not less than 99.62 99.55 99.80
Mass fraction of detected impurities,%, not more than
calcium 0.003 0.003 0.003
magnesium 0,001 0.002 0.002
of carbon 0,0038 0.005 0.02
gland 0,011 0.014 0.014
aluminum 0,001 0.004 0.004
silicon 0.003 0.003 0.014
nickel 0.002 0.002 0.005
of oxygen 0.005 0.010 0.010
potassium 0.25 0.4 0.1
sodium 0.1 - -

Notes :

  1. It is allowed to increase the content of calcium or magnesium mass fractions provided that their sum is not more than 0.005% for MSH-1 and MSH-2 grades and 0.004% for MSH-B grade.
  2. It is allowed to increase the content of the mass fractions of iron or aluminum, provided that their sum is retained: not more than 0.018% for grades MSh-1, MSh-2 and not more than 0.012% for grade MSh-B. The production of MBS-1 and MSH-B grades is carried out at the «Pobedit» plant in a ratio of 70:30. It is permissible to change the ratio towards a larger issue of the MSH-B brand
  3. It is allowed to 75% of the supply of metal molybdenum brand MSh-2 not to specify the mass fraction of oxygen.
  4. The mass fraction of molybdenum is determined from the difference of 100% and the sum of the mass fractions of 8% of the impurities to be determined, without taking into account the mass fraction of sodium.

Requirements for the quality of the material

The surface of the MBH-B, MSH-1 headers should be silver-matte. On the surface there should be no oxide film, stains of contamination, fusion and cracks larger than 1 mm.
The presence of defects on the surface of metallic molybdenum of grade MSH-2 (stratification, surface cracks and fusions, traces of oxidation and color of whiteness from straw-yellow to blue) is not a sign of marriage.
Stacks should be cooked. Failure of metal molybdenum brand MSh-2 is not a sign of marriage.
The non-straightness of the MBS-B and MSH-1 staffs should not exceed 2 mm on the length of the staff. It is allowed to supply stacks with non-straightness up to 3 mm in an amount up to 30% of the batch weight.
The density of the MBS-B and MSh-1 grades should not be less than 9.3 g / cm3. For the MBS-2 stacks, the density value below 9.3 g / cm3 is not a defective feature.
