Are you interested in THAT 48−19−251−85 «thin-walled seamless Tubes made of molybdenum and its alloys, and niobium. Technical conditions» from the company — supplier Alekhlas? Here you will find interesting information on this topic.
Scope
These specifications apply to thin-walled seamless tube made of molybdenum and its alloys, and niobium, and are produced in a vacuum arc melting. Tubes are designed for special purposes.
Technical requirements
Tubes covered by data THAT are split depending on the method of obtaining metal blanks:
- niobium tubes, which are made of niobium ingots obtained by vacuum melting;
- pipe molybdenum MCH marks, which are made of powder blanks of molybdenum stamps MCH;
- molybdenum pipe brand MCIT, which are manufactured from ingots produced by vacuum melting of powder billets of molybdenum stamps MCH with the use of carbon as a deoxidizer;
- molybdenum pipe brand MBWP made from ingots produced by vacuum melting of powder billets of molybdenum brand mshv with the use of boron as a deoxidizer and alloying element.
Assortment
Length of pipes shall be as defined in the table:

Quality
Pipe must be straight. Deviation from straightness should not exceed 0.1% of the length of pipe I-th accuracy class and 0.5% of the length of pipe II grade of accuracy. The ends of the pipes should be evenly cut and have no burrs.
The outer and inner surface of the pipe should be free from cracks, oxides and grease. Traces of Stripping, slivers, dents, sinks, cracks, not deducing the size of the pipes beyond the limits of permissible deviations, a symptom of rejection are not.
Raznoshennoy and ovality of pipes shall not exceed the limits of permissible deviations of wall thickness and diameter.
Mechanical properties
Mechanical properties of molybdenum pipes (only for grades and marks MCH MCIT) must meet the requirements listed in the table below:
Pipe diameter in mm | Wall thickness, mm | Tensile strength, MPa, not less than |
Elongation, %, not less than |
from 6.3 to 12.0 | all sizes | 686 | 15,0 |
from 13,0 to 14,0 | all sizes | 686 | 8,0 |
At the customer’s request pipes can be inspected for leaks. may be tested by hydraulic pressure (water).
