Application area
The technical conditions of this industry standard apply to forged bars of titanium and its alloys of grades ВТ1−00, ВТ1−0, ОТ4−0, ОТ4−1, ОТ4, ОТ4−2, ВТ4, BT5−1, ВТ5, ВТ6С, ВТ6, ВТЗ- 1, ВТ8, ВТ9, ВТ14, ВТ20 and ВТ22, which are intended for subsequent plastic deformation. Instead of forged rods, it is allowed to supply rolled bars of similar dimensions meeting the requirements of this industry standard.
The bars supplied by OST 1.90107−73 are not recommended for machining, and, if necessary, use forgings supplied by OST1 90000−70 and TU1−92−2-72 for this purpose.

The bars are supplied in a machined condition with a maximum deviation of +2.5 mm. The bars are supplied in a dimensional or multiple length in the range from 0.5 to 2.0 m. The maximum deviations along the length of the rods are established:
— at a length of rods up to 1000 mm — + 70 mm,
— with the length of the st. 1000 mm — + 100 mm.

Technical requirements
Rods are supplied without heat treatment or in a machined condition. The chemical composition of alloys must satisfy the requirements of OST1 90013−81. The mechanical properties of bars are given in the table

On the surface of the rods there should be no cracks or stratifications. Dents, nicks, tears, laws and risks are allowed if the depth of their deposition, as well as the depth of stripping, does not display the dimensions of the bars for the dimensional deviations. Individual single defects are allowed in an amount not exceeding 3 per 1 running. m, depth not more than 15 mm, which must be removed by a flat sweep at a ratio of the depth of stripping to a width of 1: 6.
