China: the crisis of crisis, but the production does not stand still...

China can be called one of the largest countries, both in terms of production and use of non-ferrous metals. More than 3 million workers employed in the industry, with production in recent years is rapidly increasing, simultaneously, the quality of the products improved, the company with the outdated technologies are eliminated.

Exports are mainly tin, copper, aluminum, zinc, lead, tungsten, as their production above the needs of the country. Also, not the least China is for the extraction of magnesium, mercury, molybdenum, titanium, etc. However, the financial crisis has not spared China side, there is the issue of reduced demand and lower prices in external markets and domestic.

In the past 2013, China quite sharply reduced the import of raw aluminum, in comparison with 2012 it decreased by 18%, which in numerical terms is equal to 963,124 thousand tons. However, by the end of December 2013 for supply of aluminum in China amounted to 125,18 thousand tons, while in November the figure was lower by 42.8%, according to statistics.

From January to end of November 2013 compared to the same period of 2012 the volume of production of electrolytic aluminum increased by 9.6%, which was 20,12 million tons, while in 14.3% of the increased copper production. With regard to primary aluminium, at the end of October 2013, production volumes increased by 11.87% compared to October 2012. In numerical terms, in October 2013, it was released 1,951 million tons. If we compare the data with the September performance, they increased by 5%.

Despite the crisis, the net profit received by «Aluminum Corp of China» in 2013 amounted to 1 billion yuan, equivalent to 165 million USD. The amount is impressive, especially considering the fact that a year earlier the company’s net loss was 8.23 billion yuan. Analysts, taking into account the losses, believed that this year the loss will be approximately equal to 1.75 billion yuan.

In the period from January to June in 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, «Aluminum Corp of China» has increased its revenue by 7%, which was 76,64 billion yuan, respectively, of 12.52 billion. Before the losses, they fell by 82% over that period, which was 3.25 billion yuan.

Company «Aluminum Corporation of China» was established in 2001, and then its property was estimated at 35.8 billion yuan, but by 2007 this figure had grown to 201,4 billion yuan, and in 2008 the company was in the Top 500 richest companies in the world.
