On the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, a project has been published on quotas for the import of stainless pipes

The official website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation published a draft resolution of the Government of the country on the allocation of quotas for the import of stainless steel tubing with a diameter of up to 426 mm between supplier countries in 2012-2014.

Recall that according to the Decision No. 143 of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, adopted on August 23 of this year to protect the economic interests of producers of stainless steel pipes in the territory of the Customs Union, new quotas for the import of these products from foreign suppliers will operate. So the volume of import of stainless pipes to Russia in 2012 will be limited to 6,557 tons (of which the European Union share will be 2386 tons, Ukraine - 1495 tons, China - 2039 tons). For 2013, the quota will increase to 23695 tons (EU - 8 622 tons, Ukraine - 5402 tons, China - 7369 tons), and in 2014 (taking into account the validity of the measure on November 1) will be reduced to 19,800 tons (7205, 4514 And 6158 tons for the producers of the EU, Ukraine and China, respectively).

The draft resolution of the RF Government notes that imports of stainless steel pipes in excess of the quota mentioned will be banned. Also, the draft specifies that the license for delivery will be issued in accordance with the Agreement of the Parties of the Customs Union of June 9, 2009 "On the rules of licensing in the field of foreign trade in goods."
