The leaders of the stainless steel market expect a significant increase in the volume of supply

Analysts of the metallurgical companies «Outokumpu» (Finland), member of the three world leaders among producers of stainless metal plan in the I quarter of this year to improve its own performance in terms of the supply of «steel» by 10−20% (in comparison with the results of the same period in 2010). The specialists of the Finnish company said in his interview to «International Chromium Development Association».

The fourth quarter of last year, the company has not done too well: contrary to the assumptions of market analysts, the loss of «Outokumpu» for the period amounted to €85 million (instead of the intended €58 million). In the same year the management of the Corporation expects (at least) to reach the level of break-even enterprise, but with a positive outcome even to a small income. According to the «Outokumpu», early 2011, promising and allows to hope for a quick compensation for the loss of the fourth quarter of 2010.
